"DO THE MEDIA, POSE DANGERS IN OUR TIME?" Media, Instrument of Influencing Information       The media- radio, tv, cellular, computers, newspapers, books, pamphlets, etc.- are fast becoming effective instruments of molding/orienting the minds of all walks of life. They can be effective instruments for guidance and information for they yield some great influences on the majority of the viewers/readers/hearers. Of all the means of media, the TV is the most useful in the field of evangelization in view of its larger coverage and viewing public. On the other hand, TV offers dangerous seeds of destruction, because it goes already global and making some tie-up with computers programs of many nations. In the intellectual level of people, the pad is the computer of our time. Computers are good being pattern after the best , fastest working and operational human minds of the world combined in "one"[inside the computer]. Properly appreciated, computers scientifically show/prove that the human mind is impossibly "evolutionary" in origin, as erroneously and initially thought of by Darwin and company for the computers confirm in effect man's likeness to his Creator in capability and creativity. However, computers in our midst have dangers inherent in them.       First, people too- much reliance on computers for knowledge, designs, studies and programming, has the effect of setting aside God who is the real source of knowledge and of science. Wrongly, man worships God 's creatures and their works, not the Creator.       Second, computers have "dethroned" "man". How many human lives being economically displaced for the computers are now doing their human jobs? The computers are now in the air-conditioned rooms sealed against computers invaders, interceptors, destroyers and duplicators. Man's world is now shrinking in favor of the computer's world which requires little space and time and above all, tireless, silent and efficient workers.       Third, computer's capability is dependent upon its inventor or innovator. So computers’ software and programming may be bad or good depending upon the goodness and badness of its inventor/innovator;       Fourth, the spirituality of the users/programmers of the computer play vital role. Users may make good programs/inventions and innovations depending upon the good direction and influences of the FREE WILL of the users. On the other hand, bad influences and ideas to the FREE WILL of the users are capable of making the contrary- bad, immoral programs/projects. Because of this, in the computer's world many good inventions and equipment are now in the market, the products of computers' programs. On the other hand, we have also the computer's virus, computer's thievery, computer's destruction, computer's espionage, computer's misinformation [erasing records, or intercalating false records],etc. In effect, the goodness and badness of men are now "computerized" and computers are now entering in the spiritual warfare/conflict for good or evil. The Dangers in TV Networks       As previously pointed out, many "mysteries" of our Creator in His cosmic creations as scripturally written are now partially and analogously explained in the "science" involved in the TV/internet computer: to show how WORDS [voice] traveled, to show the speed/movement of the spirits, to show "omnipresent" and to show " multi-location." The dangers of TV and its globalization/"computerization" thru the facility of spatial instruments- satellites, posed these observable dangers.       First, it endangers the cherished- culture and tradition of the people for their cultures are capable of being invaded, contaminated or distorted due to TV programs of other peoples' cultures and beliefs.       Second, economic stagnation of under-developed countries for they are always bombarded with the western goods, comforts, drugs, therapies, inventions and peoples' life-styles through TV advertisements,creating uncontrollable "wants" and importation of the western goods, luxuries,etc. thereby making poor countries, poorer and rich countries, richer.       Third, the programs on immoral shows carried by irrresponsible TV stations may yield immoral influences and examples to our youth and women which may distort their sense of moralityand ethics in favor of liberated, perverted sex-free life-styles.       Fourth, since spiritual healing is possible through TV shows by evangelists and healers involved in the healing ministry of the Charismatic churches, then, there is also danger that the Evil One and his earthly agents may be using TV facilities to contaminate and influence TV viewers with false and deceptive teaching of certain churches propagated by some evangelizers, prophesied earlier in the Bible as "antichrist" and "false prophets", bearers of false and deceptive teachings.       Fifth, easy use and access to TV programs/internet computers and coverage have tendency to expose the youth and children of not only viewing certain materials appropriate only to adult audience but also create situations where their studies are neglected.       Finally ,and in rare/ remote cases, "demonization" process may go someday "hi-tech", by contaminating any TV viewer who may be prone to such devilish scheme and machination. If the Evil One and his agents of temptations and destructions might be capable of contaminating any TV viewer and radio listener, how would such viewer protects himself/herself?This will be discussed in the capsulized articles of the proponent taken from his unpublished text- " Addiction and Touch of Faith", 1997 [unpublished for financial reason].
